Bang & Olufsen Launches Its First Ever Sound System for Open-Top Driving in Audi A5 and S5 Cabriolet

Bang & Olufsen launches its first ever car sound system for open-top driving to deliver clean, crisp, natural and precise playback. Specifically tuned for the system in the Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet, which is composed of 12 custom-made loudspeakers, 10 amplifier channels and a total output power of more than 500 watts designed to deliver the highest quality sound to listening to your favorite pieces of music while driving your Cabriolet. Bang & Olufsen designers fashioned an exceptional soundstage that complements the acoustic signature of the Audi A5/S5 Cabriolet perfectly. The True Image Digital Signal Processing turns 2-channel stereo signals into perfect 5.1-channel surround sound. Sound can be optimized depending to the number of people in the car and their position and the sound automatically adjusts according to the noise level in the car.
Acoustic engineer for Bang & Olufsen Automotive, Patrick Hegarty, reveals that it took them ten years to perfect the Audi. The final price of the sleek car hasn’t been confirmed yet.
